Searching by keywords via the search bar offers various possibilities and tools to help the user along as quickly as possible.
When a search query is entered into the search bar, Stentor recognizes what the user is looking for after just a few letters. It then opens a dropdown list that shows suggestions. The user can then stop typing and continue by clicking on one of the keywords.
Stentor also recognizes the products belonging to the search query. The 3 products that best match the search query are shown in the dropdown menu. The products include a button to order them directly. This functionality is also perfect for users who order by entering the item numbers. Via the search bar and dropdown, they can fill an entire shopping basket without browsing through the site. By clicking the “show all products” link, all search results are shown on a separate page.
Perhaps the customer is not looking for a specific item, but for information or news. Specifically for that, at the bottom of the dropdown, there are also pages that contain the entered keyword. In addition to the products, the search results page shows relevant text and news pages that contain the keyword.
When you enter a search query into the search bar with a spelling error, the autocorrection function suggests the correct search query.
