In order to optimally manage your product information and use it for all your sales channels, Guidance offers you Catalogger PIM: the ideal Product Information Management system. All product information is stored and managed in Catalogger PIM, from detailed specifications to images and videos.
For both your website and catalog, partial publications or price lists, you can use the extensive selection options to choose what information from the PIM database is published. This allows you to, for instance, focus more attention on a specific brand by creating a separate site or catalog, presenting seasonal items separately or showing customer-specific ranges within the web shop.
In Catalogger PIM, you have the choice between a number of different screens. For instance, there is a separate screen for entering translations where the information of multiple languages is shown together in a clear way.
Catalogger PIM has the option to search specifically. You can create a query that searches for all products without an image, for example. These search queries can also be saved for reuse and periodic reports.
Different procedures can be set to start at a certain time. For example, the Catalogger PIM data can be set to update automatically every night.
With Catalogger PIM, products can be classified according to standards such as ETIM. Request our classification info sheet for more information.
Multiple people can work in Catalogger PIM simultaneously. This includes the possibility to indicate what parts of the range a user or user group can or cannot see. You can also set what functions a user may perform, such as the authority to edit data or add/remove products.
Product information can be stored in different languages in Catalogger PIM. Including non-Western European languages such as Russian and Chinese. Information that is language-independent, such as the image name, the brand or the item number, does not need to be entered again. This information is automatically copied to the other languages.
With the extensive search options in Catalogger PIM, you can easily define search queries yourself to find what you are looking for. You can make use of operators like >,<, = or the exclusion of a value. You can also search by language, in a certain part of the database, at a certain level or per user level (if privileges have been set). From the results list, you can click to go directly to the associated product, edit the data or export it.
The data from multiple products can be directly exported to Excel. In Excel, the information can easily be edited or supplemented, after which the information can be copied back to Catalogger with a single click. A very powerful functionality if you want to quickly sort out and complete your data.
With the product information from Catalogger PIM, there are many automated publication options. In addition, the PIM data can be exported in various formats for customers, data pools, translation agencies or other purposes.
With the data you have saved in Catalogger PIM, the Catalogger PRINT software automatically formats your publication in the layout packages Adobe InDesign or FrameMaker. This can be a paper catalog with your complete range, but also things like a partial catalog, a catalog with customer-specific prices, a price list or a detailed datasheet with images and technical drawings.
You can make a separate selection for each publication. For instance, you can determine what fields you want to use in the publication and in what order. Using these selections, you can also publish in different languages.
From Catalogger PIM, you can export your data in multiple formats for reuse in other systems. This includes ETIM XML and for datapools like 2ba.
The information from Catalogger PIM can be used for your website or online shop without any problems. Our Stentor web solution uses the data from Catalogger PIM to generate a very extensive site in which the range is central. This includes extensive search and filter options and a clear presentation of the products with associated information.
Your desired paper publication can be saved directly as PDF, ready to be sent or printed. It is also possible to manually add additional information to the publication, such as a foreword or corporate images, via Adobe InDesign or FrameMaker.
