Websites

A website often has two different sections: pages containing the product range (the web catalogue or web shop) and the information pages and forms such as the home page, corporate information, news, events, contact details etcetera. The latter group of pages is often created and managed using Stentor WebEditor (web content management system). The system administrator can create and adjust pages in a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) environment.

Stentor Assortment dynamically generates the web catalogue and/or web shop from a database. No more static, pre-made HTML pages; instead, you'll have pages that are built dynamically from the database whenever the user requires. If desired, the pages contain customer-specific prices or the customer-specific product range.

The page structure is fully automated. The graphic design is defined (once only) in templates in line with the company's corporate image. Product information is only maintained in the database and not on the site.

The database where the information is entered and maintained can be your own administrative (ERP) system and/or the Catalogger Product Information Database. In many cases, both systems are used. Prices, stock information, etcetera originate from the ERP system. The hierarchy, the commercial and technical descriptions of products and their images are maintained in Catalogger.
