ERP system or publication database?

If you have stored all of the information in your ERP system or other database, then we will publish directly from that source.

Publishing directly from your ERP system

The ERP system is the administrative heart of your organisation. It holds a great deal of information that you need to piece together your printed or online catalogues, your e-commerce site or other publication. If the ERP system contains all the information needed for your publications, then we can link the database publishing solution directly to your ERP system. In that case, all the information you select will be processed directly into a printed or digital publication. Having an e-commerce sites means you also receive new information, such as customer orders, that you then need to enter into the ERP system. Naturally we can automate this process for you too.

Guidance has a lot of experience with all sorts of ERP systems. The systems our clients work with include: AMF2000+, ASW, AS400, Axapta, Boswin, Bpcs, Bridge/400, Digis, Dimasys, EXact, Food/400, Heart-Profit, Improve, J.D. Publishing via a publication database

Many companies have an ERP system that contains a great deal of both product and general information, but is nevertheless incomplete. If that is the case, we will deploy a publication database in which we will add and manage all the missing information. Information already present in the ERP system is of course included in the new database.

The link between the ERP system and the publication database can be set up in two different ways. You can choose a real-time link whereby the two systems are constantly linked to each other, or you can choose to work with files created from the ERP system and import them periodically into the publication database in batches.
